I am thrilled to present something special this Halloween: an investigative deep-dive into one of horror's most enduring mysteries. What if Michael Myers wasn't just a random killer? What if the events in Haddonfield were part of something larger, more organized, more ancient?
I've spent the month of October crafting a piece of investigative journalism that treats the events of Halloween (1978), Halloween II, Halloween 4, Halloween 5, and Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers as if they were real events, examining them through the lens of an investigative reporter uncovering a massive conspiracy. It doesn't all make sense, and it really can't, considering the films in question, especially the later ones, are impossible to make heads or tails of - but I gave it my best shot, and I hope you all enjoy it.
This is a work of fiction that takes the form of a long-form investigative piece, complete with:
Interviews with "survivors"
Recently declassified documents
Forensic analysis
Expert testimonies
Conspiracy theories
And a growing sense that something much darker was happening in Haddonfield all along
Happy Halloween! 🎃
